Val started Sax Motor, a car dealership in Dickinson, ND (Sax after Lena's maiden name, apparently).  It's still in operation today, but not operated by Ungerechts.  His son Al had a small airplane that he put skis on in the winter, and in one occasion (early 50's?) flew to the Ungerecht ranch near Glen Ullin to check on the family after they had been snowed in for a week or so.
