This is an old revision of the document!
Welcome to the Ungerecht family tree!
This is for all Ungerechts, although the initial focus at least is on the family that emigrated from Germany to Wisconsin in 1864 - and all of their ancestors and descendants. Read more about the Ungerecht name.
It is set up as a wiki, with links from one person to another and one family per page. For privacy reasons, I'm trying to keep out all identifiable information on living persons, unless they want it in. I might add a feature where people can log in and then see more information. For people without death dates, I use 90 years as a cutoff.
These pages can also be exported as a PDF document for printing or viewing (see link on left). Anybody with information to contribute can edit it themselves (with an account) or pass the information on to me. Pictures and stories are welcome too!
Family that emigrated to Wisconsin, their kids and grandkids:
Read more about Helba and Walldorf in Thuringia, Germany. In America the Ungerechts settled in Caledonia (just south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin), then Glen Ullin North Dakota, and Northome Minnesota, with individual families in many other locations, mostly in the northern half of the U.S. See also the locations page.
This is definitely incomplete, but it is known that a Kaspar Ungerecht served (likely drafted) into the army at the time that Napoleon controlled that region of Germany, and he died in the service in 1811. He was an uncle to our emigrant Johann Valentin. The Ungerechts emigrated to the U.S. right at the end of the Civil War so they missed serving in that conflict. We know Richard Ungerecht died in Vietnam, and Jerry Ungerecht served there. Numerous others have served during peaceful times.
There is a search feature at the top. See also the links in the side bar at left. "Start" will always get you back to this page.
